When it comes down to wearing ripped denim you need a plan that will make your styling  look classy. Here’s the lowdown: while it’s perfectly ok to go a little cuckoo in your personal style, make sure you remain dignified.
In other words: you do not want to look like something the cat dragged in.
In order to avoid your reputation hanging by a thread, keep on top of matters with these tips.

Keep it tasteful would be my main advice.
How you combine it and when is crucial.

Let me know in the comments how you wear ripped denim!

1.

Start with the right kind of jeans to avoid an overpowering look. The focus is on the rips, so use a neutral pair in a standard jeans color. Or  black. Or white.

2.

In extension of 1. Avoid loud patterns or crazy stripes. Leopard printed denim doesn’t need extra rips. There are ways of doing this without coming across as if you were just attacked.

3.

To keep things classy the general rule is: the more ripped the jeans, the looser the fit.
And beware of ripped skinnies, they can easily come across as trashy.
Exception to the rule is black denim. Wear white ripped skinny denim with caution.

4.

Combine with timeless items such as white t-shirts, elegant blouses and/or blazers.
A leather jacket adds a sophisticated roughness to the end-result and heels are always a plus giving it a more feminine look.

5.

There’s a fine line between owning the outfit and it getting the better of you.
So remember: you do not want to come across as if you needed to kill the garment in order to wear it. It is still an extension of your glorious self, so wear it gracefully. And only wear this, if it's you.
